Posted On: 10/29/2024 I started my braces treatment at this orthodontist in June, and it's been nothing but problems since day one. After my first visit, where I got my braces put on, one of my brackets popped off. On my second visit, I dealt with extra wire that was left in, digging painfully into my gums.

Most recently, I left with excess wire on both sides of my bottom row, which are now digging in between my teeth, and one of my lower brackets has extra wiring hanging off it. To top it off, there's more wire digging into my cheek from on the top right row.

I constantly have to return for follow-ups to fix these problems, which is an huge inconvenience because I live far from this office. I expected a smoother experience .

Overall, I’m really frustrated with the lack of attention to detail and the discomfort I’ve experienced. I expected better care during my orthodontic journey. Bianca J

Dr Roth help me recover from the most horrific dental experience I’ve ever had in my life from another dentist name Dr Henry who is not located at this office. I literally left that dental facility frantic, depressed and In tears due his lack of concern. Gladly I was switched to the dental facility with Dr Roth who not only listened to my concerns but did not stop working with me till I was satisfied. With his help I was given the most beautiful set of upper and lower dentures. I left that facility in such joy and happiness with the biggest smile. I’m totally satisfied with his work and everyone there that helped me get back the hope of having a wonderful smile again. God bless Family Dental and thanks a million S Bridget M

Posted On: 05/16/2024 In my opinion these people are scammers. They trick you into taking out loans which I’m sure they get some type of cut from. You’d go to their office with your insurance and they will tell you two things : 1 that your insurance didn’t approve the procedure, or 2 they approved the procedure but your co pay is $5,000.

Then they’d try to “sell” you a loan and they’d overprice their services by charging an extra $8,000-$10,000 which is something they can’t do with the health insurance companies because the insurance companies need proof that the recommended procedures are that value.

Also they seem to intentionally allow your teeth to decay so you’d need a root canal instead of a filling. I had a cavity and they ignored it and eventually the tooth became infected. When I went back they asked me why didn’t I come sooner. I reminded them that I did and they sent me away.

I’m about to file a complaint with the state because the reviews on here tells me this deceitfulness is a regular practice. Marie R

Posted On: 04/29/2024 I was initially skeptical about New York Family Dentistry, as I am with everything. However, we recently switched to this location from a dentistry in Manhattan because we didn't want to make the commute anymore. My daughter previously had to have a lot of extractions from her previous dentist, so we were hoping this location was gentle and understanding of our choices about my daughter's dental needs, and this dentistry did just that. We were happy with making the switch. Randy R
