Posted On: 06/02/2021 Very very very impressed and satisfied with my visit today. The Dental Hygienist, SHARI that took care of me today was super nice and professional. In all the years I’ve been going to the dentist, I’ve never received a cleaning like I did today. I appreciate you SHARI and keep up the good work. Rennick M

Posted On: 05/03/2021 Kids and husband went for cleaning, never seen a dentist but only offered unnecessary services that according to them not covered by our insurance although we have two insurances. This place is a scam. Burnt my daughter face while filling a tooth. Keep very very far away.
Response to owner: She went back to the dentist the following day and he confirmed it was a burn from the etching acid used in the filling process. He offered no apology or remedy besides suggesting applying shea butter. It took you one year to respond with a lie. Evett B

Posted On: 04/30/2021 Don’t make your appointment unless you are ready to spend some money!
I went in for a cleaning, had an X-ray done and then was told they could only do a gum treatment that was $3000 and wouldn’t be covered by my insurance but I could set up a payment plan.
I was offered to make an appointment for an extraction I needed but was told on the day of the appointment the doctor would see if it was covered by my insurance.
I never even met the dentist, only “treatment specialists” who I could hear in other rooms talking about payment plans with other customers. They seem to also be pretty big on offering Invisalign
I did give it 2 stars because my son got his teeth “cleaned” but I was disappointed that I was told by phone they were a pediatric dental office and then when we got there I was told it wasn’t but they were able to see children. Tiffany M

Posted On: 04/01/2021 Been coming here for about a year. Staff is getting better but they’re still in the business of ignoring small issues until they become bigger issues that insurance won’t cover.
This has happened twice, where they’ve ignored fillable cavities until a root canal was needed. I’ve already had one tooth replaced (by another dentist). Jumping ship before I have no teeth left. D J

Posted On: 02/08/2021 In the process of doing my Invisalign was supposed to get my Trays in December was told the didn't come in , Someone was supposed to call me when they got them no one did I had to call and check up 🙄 Finally with told January 5th went in and the top trays doesn't fit 😑 so I only got the bottom trays for a month, They remeasured I was told 3 weeks had an appointment for February 5th they called and cancelled at 11:30 ish my appointment was for 12:30pm while talking to Patti on the phone she didn't like the fact that I'm upset that I'm paying for something that they keep messing up it got heated when trying to figured out what to do in the meantime since I started the bottom and have no more trays she hang up the phone... Got a call from the orthodontist Dr. Shin something like that today and when I'm explaining to her she giggle very unprofessional. Now I have to wait for them to call me another 3 to 4 weeks 😫 HORRIBLE HORRIBLE Experience 😢 Kyia M

Posted On: 01/09/2021 I came here very excited to get my wisdom teeth removed, for the oral surgeon to refuse to take them out because apparently my insurance didn’t cover it, also because he didn’t want to leave a hole in my gums, first of all aren’t you an oral surgeon for a reason, Then he tells me he’s not going to do it that I have to go to the hospital to get them removed what difference does it make to go to the hospital and get them removed. I immediately realized he didn’t want to do it because they were about to close that’s one, two I’ve been in pain for over a month and I waited a whole month to get my teeth removed because they didn’t have any appointments available back in December. Not only did I lose a whole day of work. Oh I also called my insurance and they stated that I have full coverage. Not only that he gave me a empty referral and expected me to go to the hospital with an empty referral. When I went back into the office I told the ladies at the front desk. That the doctor gave me an empty referral they all looked at me like I’m crazy. They called the doctor and he tells me why you need a referral for with a nasty attitude I responded is the same referral you gave me to go to the hospital. As he filled out the referral he refused to write and sign his name. Waste of my day and my pain keeps getting worse. I don’t understand if you have pictures of my X-ray for over a month was it so hard to give me a call and let me know in advance that he couldn’t remove it !! If I would’ve known that I had to go to a hospital accosting to him to get them removed I would’ve never waited this long and waste my time. Xiomara B

Posted On: 12/15/2020 There is nothing less than 1 star otherwise I have this place given zero. I went there with my mother, she is 70 year plus. I called and asked how early should I come so we don't have to wait or there is any protocol due to COVID. I was told 10 minutes before appointment. When reached there waited 2 hours, Nurse did X-rays and stuff. We filled form regarding my mother existing medical condition and history which explain about that she has one heart stent and she is on blood thinner. After all this, we were referred to their other office Ave L location. After one week, I called before leaving house if they need anything, same reply nothing just come in 10 minutes before appointment time. This time they did not take long to call us but consultant, asked about my mother history and current medications. He said, surgeon can not do the procedure due to blood thinner, and we must go back to doctor for clearance letter and stop taking blood thinner at least 5 days before procedure. We went to our doctor, got the letter and emailed to Dentistry office. Meanwhile, I called and tried to speak to Doctor Randhawa or office manger to discussed why they could not tell us this clearance before and safe time for all of us since its COVID and I really don't want my mother to be out of house more than she needs to. No reply or call back from office. Now I called their office and help desk told me that manager put comments/notes that refer this patient to other specialist (outside their office). I am not sure why they are doing this. I requested a phone call from doctor or manager but nothing so far. If anyone has any phone number for city or state, please share with me I would like to compliant about their practices. Thanks Ata K

Posted On: 12/09/2020 This complaint is in regards the unprofessionalism of the Dental office and the negligence that is causing me to be in immense physical pain as well as emotional. I cannot eat properly at the moment and as a result, I have almost choked several times withing the past month. At this point the office is refusing to treat my teeth.
In July, I was in pain when I visited the office of New York Family and Cosmetic Dentistry 1761 Rockaway Pkwy, Brooklyn, NY 1236 and saw “Doll”. I informed her the entire right side of my head was in pain. That I felt it was the tooth at the top right, because anything touching it would cause the pain to increase. She stated the tooth with the issue was the lower tooth that had an infection and that it should be removed. I informed her, I am not pulling anymore teeth. She then went ahead to give me an estimate to put in implants. $10,000 totaled. I told her I will think about and that I needed a referral to see an Endodontist.
On 7/24/20 – I researched and found an endodontist. I went to see him. He was a true professional and discover the source of the pain was actually the tooth above which needed a root canal. He performed the root canal and stated that I need to get the crown from the dental office. I called them that same day and informed them I needed a crown. The Endodontist also sent the office an email.
0n 9/21/20 – I called the insurance co. They stated they had no record of the request for a predetermination. After hours of calling and being given a run around trying to speak to someone at the dental office about the status and informed them, the insurance co said they have no record of a predetermination, that my tooth cracked and cause another tooth on the left side at the bottom to chip also. I spoke to the supervisor at the call center and informed her I needed an appt to see about this cracked tooth. She gave me an appt. Someone from the office sent me an email, stating they got the response letter from the dentist but that it was another tooth and not the tooth discuss. I responded that the tooth was done for 2 months, when I called for the appt the receptionist stated the predetermination was sent and that approval can take any where from 30 to 60 days. Someone time that week, I had the appt and spoke to the Client Advocate Annie who brought in a Dentist to look at my tooth and stated the tooth can be saved. Since then I have waiting for approval. I have email and called about 12 times and there is no response. It is 12/9/20 today.
10/27/20 – Called and asked for the Patient Advocate and left a voicemail message at the extension transferred to. No response.
10/29/20 – Sent an email to be contacted. There was no response.
10/30/20 – Sent an email to be contacted about status of crown. No response.
11/6/20 – Went to office. Asked for Patient Advocate, They said she was not around. Asked for Manager they sent “Doll” to speak with me. Told her how long I have been waiting for my tooth to be fixed. She gave me her card and stated to email her and she will fwd the email to the manager.
11/11/20 – Email sent.
11/12/20 – Doll sent a response stating she will fwd email to the manager. She states the day I came she made sure the billing dept sent claim.
11/17/20/20 – Sent email I spoke to insurance co who stated they mailed letter asking for additional information. Can they be on the look out for the letter.
11/20/20 – I received an email asking for my date of birth.
11/24/20 – I responded.
11/27/20 – Email sent asking of status. No Response.
11/30/20- Email sent asking of status. No Response.
12/24/20 - Email sent. No response. Trinidivine

Posted On: 11/20/2020 No apologies given at all… not even from the owner. Even if I had the choice to pay, that was not offered to me. Absolute horrible experience. I have found a new dentist with greater services in Queens. The staff can be trained better.
This is a horrible dentist office and staff. The communication is poor. They don’t give you pre-op instructions. I called several time to make sure my procedure was approved. After the 5th time, someone answered and said my surgical procedure was approved. I got to the office that day only to be told that insurance did not approve my procedure and there was nothing they could do. Khamani R
